It’s easy to find free clothes for V4/Genesis/M4. So, why is this useful enough for me to mention it here? Simple. Also, this tool doesn’t make windows, as the author feels that the Window Generator addon is perfectly acceptable. No word on if internal walls will be easy to add or if those need to be added by running the addon again. There is also a floor, roof, and baseboard option. Mainly, this will be to disassemble the CR2 into its primary sections, learn how to properly reference image/texture files (non-absolute path references are IMPORTANT), and then see what each line seems to do. Once the object is done, we are going to focus on the CR2 file. I also want to try and integrate built in constraints. The intent is to create a stack of three boxes, import them into DS and rig them to each rotate independent of the others. So, again keeping with the KISS philosophy, the figure is going to be a stack of boxes.

So, the next project is to create a simple object with moving parts. But props don’t necessarily have moving parts.

Creating props is pretty easy, especially if you just import your object to DS, then clear the scene of EVERYTHING else, and run the OBJ to PP2 script. Since this blog is all about my attempts to create content for Daz Studio using nothing but open source, I’m mainly focusing on how to create actual figures. Once I track down the last set of files, and get Blender updated to the latest release (now 2.73), we’ll be working on another small project.

When last we left off, we had finished making a small rectangular box that we hinged in Daz Studio. Which means I can get back into doing this blog. As of late December, I have officially completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Systems Security from CTU.
